Pay Rate: $30-40/hr (DOE)

What’s a typical day as an Temporary   Environmental Health and Safety Technician? You’ll be:
• Responsible for the adequate management of hazardous waste storage areas, ensuring compliance with federal/state/local regulations.
• Conducting weekly/monthly inspections of storage areas, addressing deficiencies, and issuing corrective actions.
• Managing non-hazardous, universal waste, used oil, and waste water storage areas, following federal/state/local regulations and best management practices.
• Coordinating tanker truck shipments for waste materials.
• Performing calibrations, sampling, and inspections of the waste water system, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance.
• Assisting environmental engineers with various programs such as air, water, and waste management.
• Providing support in recordkeeping, data collection, and implementation of new EH&S processes/procedures.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have knowledge of federal/state/local regulations related to hazardous waste management.
• Possess experience in waste water and storm water program management and sampling.
• Are able to troubleshoot issues and work collaboratively with operations to ensure compliance.
• Have the ability to assist in training employees in environmental programs/processes/procedures.
• Are detail-oriented and have strong recordkeeping and data collection skills.
