Position: President & CEO
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced leader to serve as the President & CEO. In this role, you will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for our organization. This position requires candidates to be based in the Bay Area, with no relocation support available.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Oversee the overall financial health of the organization.
Collaborate with the Board, Treasurer, and Bookkeeper to create and manage an annual budget, including revenue projections and expense planning. Provide monthly budget updates during Board meetings.
Develop and lead fundraising strategies and capital campaigns.
Regularly review and monitor the financial status of the organization.
Personnel Management:
Supervise and manage staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, salary administration, and policy enforcement.
Mentor and support the leadership team to achieve high performance.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business practices and organizational effectiveness. Develop and use key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve staff performance.
Foster a collaborative and professional work environment, promoting accountability and excellence.
Additional Duties:
Oversee daily operations, including program management, staff coordination, membership engagement, and marketing activities.
Collaborate with the Chair to prepare agendas and materials for Board and Executive Committee meetings.
Set and recommend goals and objectives to the Board.
Act as the primary spokesperson and representative at community and business events.
Build and maintain partnerships with other organizations.
Support Chamber officers and lead annual and long-term planning efforts.
Attend and provide support at Board committee meetings and participate in membership and sponsorship sales.
Identify and develop revenue generation programs and events, including organizing the Chamber's Annual Retreat.
Ensure policies are followed and prioritize member needs to advance the community's economic development.
Maintain open communication with the Board and contribute to effective governance.

Professional Experience:
5-10 years of management or executive experience in a business or non-profit setting, including supervision and financial oversight.
Previous experience in Chamber management is a plus.
Familiarity with local, regional, and state political systems and collaboration experience is beneficial.
Minimum of 3 years of P&L responsibility is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Graduate or student of the Western Association of Chamber Executives Academy is preferred.
Physical Demands:
