Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor, Nurse Education Program, Maternal Child Nursing (Maternity) Nurse Education Program, Health Professions and Human Services Division Campus Location: Clinical agency Work Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays 7:00 am - 1:00pm or 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm Non-benefited, MCCC position DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prepare clinical assignments prior to clinical learning experience
- Instruct, and supervise nursing students in the clinical setting
- Instruct and supervise nursing students with virtual clinical simulation to support the achievement of student learner outcomes
- Evaluate student learning assignments and provide constructive feedback
- Complete formative and summative student evaluations
- Communicate with Course Team Leader on a weekly basis regarding student issues
- Complete program and clinical orientation
- Perform other duties associated with the position.
Job Requirements:
- MA Registered nurse license in good standing.
- Master's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years full time nursing employment in the last 5 years. or Baccalaureate degree in nursing with a minimum of five years full-time Registered Nurse experience within the last eight years, BSN faculty must be matriculated in a graduate nursing program within one year of appointment with an expected graduation date within five years of the date of matriculation; or - obtain a current Nurse Education certification by a Board recognized certifying organization within three years of appointment. An earned Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Possesses a minimum of two (2) years full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five (5) years
- Evidence of competence in clinical area of Maternal Child Nursing
- BLS Health Provider Level certification from AHA required.
- Previous clinical teaching experience is preferred
- Experience with the use of patient simulation and technology preferred
- Candidate must clear a 10 panel urine drug screen per clinical placement policy as a condition of employment.
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
Additional Information:
SALARY: $70 per hour BSN, $78 per hour MSN or higher degree, non-benefited position, MCCC position
