Job Description

As a Debt Recovery Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in our debt recovery processes. You will work collaboratively with our collections team to develop data-driven strategies that maximize recovery rates and minimize losses.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, including internal databases, external credit reports, and industry benchmarks.
• Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the effectiveness of collection strategies.
• Identify trends and patterns in debtor behavior and payment history to inform segmentation and targeted outreach efforts.
• Collaborate with the collections team to develop and implement data-driven strategies for improving collection rates and reducing delinquency.
• Conduct statistical analysis and modeling to predict debt recovery outcomes and optimize collection efforts.
• Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders, providing actionable insights to drive decision-making.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and debt recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a financial services or debt collection environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
