We're excited to offer an opportunity for a dynamic Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join our leadership team. Located just minutes from downtown Austin, our specialized treatment facility has been a cornerstone of the community for over 80 years. We're dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and brain injury rehabilitation for individuals aged 13 and older, as well as neurobehavioral residential treatment for children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy: As the Chief Nursing Officer, you'll be a pivotal part of our leadership team, integrating and coordinating patient-centric nursing strategies. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, cost-effective care that aligns with our mission and values.
Administration & Supervision: Oversee the nursing services, ensuring effective use of the nursing process to provide top-notch patient care. You'll establish standards of practice and manage the fiscal aspects of nursing operations. Additionally, you'll manage Employee Health and Infection Control, working closely with the Director of Human Resources.
Collaboration & Support: Enjoy the autonomy to lead your team while benefiting from clinical and educational support from a network of peer nursing leaders. Participate in our active Nursing Council, which emphasizes shared governance and evidence-based practice. Qualifications:
Education: MSN preferred. Alternatively, a BSN with a Master's degree in a health-related field and three years of hospital RN experience, or a BSN with three years of hospital RN experience and monthly clinical consultation from an MSN in psych-mental health nursing, will be considered.
Experience: At least five years of experience in psychiatric, mental health, and/or rehabilitation nursing, with a minimum of three years in a progressive supervisory or management role.
