Job Title: Billing Coordinator
Company Overview:
We are working with a LAw firm specializing in defense litigation. We are seeking a skilled Billing Coordinator to join our team. This position requires on-site presence at our office.
Position Overview:
The Billing Coordinator will play a crucial role in our billing operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the billing process. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in e-billing and a comprehensive understanding of billing procedures from start to finish, including file opening, prebill generation, bill submission, payment application, collections, and file closing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Compile and bill attorney hours, review and edit pre-bills for accuracy and completeness.
* Manage a high volume of bills monthly, execute complex billing scenarios accurately.
* Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and collections efficiently.
* Research and respond to billing inquiries promptly and professionally.
* Understand and navigate client billing cycles effectively.
* Upload all billing data into legal billing software, ensuring entries are accurately logged into billing sub-ledgers.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Minimum of 3+ years of billing experience, preferably in a defense law firm environment.
* Excellent mathematical skills and strong proficiency in MS Excel.
* Experience with legal billing software (e.g., Legalmaster, Zolasuite) is highly preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent field preferred but not required.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
